The Shibburn wallet tracking service has reported a massive SHIB burn rate jump that has taken place over the past day. The growth of this metric shown by the platform has reached six figures over the past four hours.
More than a hundred million SHIB meme coins have been kicked out of the circulating supply.
SHIB burns skyrocket 128,371%
The above-mentioned data source revealed that the daily SHIB burn rate has reached a whopping 128,371.28% thanks to a gigantic 116,188,140 SHIB meme coins transferred into unspendable blockchain wallets out of circulation.
There have been six burn transactions since last morning so far with the largest ones moving 97,568,806 SHIB and 14,047,018 SHIB. These two burn transfers took place one and four hours ago, respectively.
By now, the SHIB team and community have managed to destroy a total of 410,749,011,967,926 SHIB coins, while 584,509,496,009,689 SHIB remain circulating in the cryptocurrency market.
Shytoshi Kusama shows zero social media activity
The mysterious lead developer of the Shiba Inu team, known to the community under the pseudonym Shytoshi Kusama, remains inactive on X and other social media platforms. The last time, he was noticed on the X platform was May 30 – about two weeks ago.
On that day, the he posted several tweets, praising AI as the next big thing in the tech and cryptocurrency spaces, saying that “many have no idea what’s coming.”
He also changed the status in his X bio section. For almost two weeks now, it has stated that Kusama is “Writing a final white paper exploring Ai, Shib, Shy.” Kusama also emphasized his and SHIB’s “role in this upcoming new age.”
Shytoshi also warned that he was going away and back to work on AI, web3 and talk to venture capitalists, once again and would be back in touch with the X SHIB community in a month: “ I am going back into AI web3 futurist VC zone. See you in a month.”
This is not the first time this year that Kusama has disappeared. The first two of his absences took much longer than two weeks, so none of the SHIB community seems to be worried or even concerned about his silence now, knowing that Kusama would be eventually back with his tweets anyway.
